Welcome to the Community Engagement section of the Timmins and District Hospital website.
TDH’s Community Advisory Committee (CAC) was established to provide a link between the Hospital and the community it serves. The committee meets to help identify service needs in the community and to serve as a communication link between the Hospital and community. The committee reports directly to the TDH President & CEO and submits a regular update to the Board of Directors.

The purpose of this committee is to provide input to the Board of Directors of the Timmins and District Hospital on topics and projects related to community health care issues and health care delivery.
Not only will the committee members provide valuable input to the Board of Directors, but they will also become well informed about the hospital so they can be positive representatives of the hospital in the community.
One of our most important community connections is the volunteer work done by many dedicated members of the community.
Volunteers play an integral role in the day-to-day operation of our hospital—helping staff, patients and visitors. They assist with patient care and clinical services, administrative work and fundraising efforts.
We have volunteers providing support at all levels of the organization and have had a long and rich history with TDH over the years.
