Support and Education Groups

Stroke Survivor Social:

  • The social is held on the last Tuesday of every month except July and August.
  • For the stroke survivor and care giver
  • Where: The Timmins and District Hospital Dietary Conference Room from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Heart to Heart:

  • Sessions for anyone looking for support and/or information on living with angina, hypertension, congestive heart failure or recuperating from a heart attack or heart surgery. It is a great way to meet others with similar needs.
  • Sessions run weekly for four weeks consecutively and feature a Social Worker, Nurse Practitioner, Pharmacist and Physiotherapist.
  • Once ten people have signed up, the course is organized for four consecutive Tuesdays 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the ICU Conference Room.
  • Sessions are free of charge.
  • Spouses and significant others welcome.
