Quality at T&DH

Timmins and District Hospital is committed to providing safe, high quality care to our patients and their families.

At Timmins and District Hospital quality is "doing the right thing at the right time for the right person and having the best possible result".

Throughout the year the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Steering Committee works diligently on an Organizational Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Plan based on: Accreditation Canada Standards, Required Organizational Practices, Safer Healthcare Now initiatives, and Hospital Industry benchmarks. Each year, teams create well thought out goals and objectives that align with our strategic and quality improvement plan. We measure quality with key performance indicators.

This web page includes a selection if indicators including wait times, infection rates, and patient satisfaction. We post this information because we believe in keeping out community informed and we want to share our successes and opportunities for improvement. The indicators are explained in detail and are regularly updated.

We hope that this site provides you with an overview of quality initiatives at Timmins and District Hospital and demonstrates our commitment to quality care.
