The OHA campaign, "Your Health Care Be Involved" identifies 5 key points to consider: 1 - "Be involved in your healthcare. Speak up if you have questions or concerns about your care. 2 - Tell a member of your health care team about your past illnesses and your current health condition. 3 - Bring all of your medicines with you when you go to the hospital or to a medical appointment. 4 - Tell a member of your healthcare team if you ever had an allergic or bad reaction to any medicine or food. 5 -Make sure you know what to do when you go home from the hospital or from your medical appointment
Safer Health Care Now!
As part of Timmins and District Hospital's commitment to patient safety, we have joined a national safety campaign entitled Safer Health Care Now! (SHN). The goal of Safer Healthcare Now is to improve the safety of patient care in Canada through learning, sharing and implementing interventions that are know to reduce avoidable adverse events.
