TADH is a proud partner in the Ontario Stroke System and the Northeastern Ontario Stroke Network. As a District Stroke Centre, TADH is the “Hub” for patients across the continuum of stroke care in the Cochrane District and up the James Bay Coast.
The Canadian Stroke Best Practice Recommendations are followed for inpatient and outpatient care. Patients that arrive at TADH through the Emergency Department are assessed for eligibility for the “clot-busting” drug “tPA” which is an important, time-sensitive intervention. If you suspect that you may be having a stroke, call 911 immediately. Use the “FAST” Acronym as your guide:

Inpatient stroke care at TADH is provided on the Integrated Stroke Unit which includes both acute and rehabilitation interventions.
